Heads Up Medical is for those who desire an emergency supply of medication to have on hand in the event of a serious emergency or when professional medical help is not available. We recommend our kits for every member of the family 2 years and up to have their own personal supply of Rx medications.
You can order a Heads Up Medical Case annually for each member of your household that meets our requirements. You can order an additional Heads Up Medical Case to keep at a different location. This will allow you to order up to 4 full Heads Up Medical cases per year, per person, providing they are kept at different locations.
Important Note: We do not condone the stockpiling of medications. Medications purchased through Heads Up Medical are for the sole purpose of having the appropriate emergency medications on hand when and where you need them and only should be used in the event you cannot access medical help.
You may purchase a one-year supply of each of your medications. We are unable to offer more than a one-year supply. You may purchase these annually after 365 days have passed since your previous purchase. If you have any questions on when you will be eligible to reorder daily medications, please reach out to our customer service team.

Currently add-ons are not available, but this feature is coming in the near future.

Some states require an audio or video consultation, as required by the regulations of your state, with the physician. If you live in one of these states, once you place an order, you will be sent an email with instructions to set up an appointment. Generally, if there are no allergies, medicine contraindications, or major health issues, the form will provide the physician with enough information to process your order. The physician may reach out for additional information and is also available to answer questions.

No, you will not. Our emergency antibiotic kits are used for catastrophic situations when emergency help is not available. Our doctors use the utmost caution when prescribing to make sure that an allergic reaction will not happen and put you in a more dire medical emergency.
We ask about kidney and liver disease because it’s not that patients can’t use antibiotics if they have kidney or liver disease, it’s that they have to have their dosages adjusted based on their level of dysfunction. It’s a delicate balance and requires closer monitoring by a physician. That is why under our model of providing antibiotics we aren’t able to extend the service to patients with those kinds of chronic conditions in a way that is safe for the patient. If your doctor has told you that your kidney function is normal and you have no medication restrictions, you can answer the question to kidney disease as ‘No’.
We do require any patient we are serving to have had a physical in the past two years. We do this in order to ensure that our patients have had a thorough health screening before prescribing medications that could potentially be harmful to them if they have a health condition that has gone undiagnosed.

Heads Up Medical only offers individual kits that are prescribed to the individual who filled out the order form. The physicians prescribe based upon the answers to the questions on that form. If there is an allergy notated on the form, we need to account for that allergy and make sure that others are not using the medications that could potentially be harmful to them. These are emergency antibiotics and should be treated the same way as any other prescription that is prescribed by a physician.
We require that we obtain your phone number in case the physician needs to get a hold of you about your order/prescriptions.

We only supply the emergency antibiotic kit with the different antibiotics in it. At this moment, we don’t offer an a la carte option. The antibiotics we supply provide extended protection against a variety of bacterial infections. This is so you are prepared to treat any infection that may present itself.
In the case of doxycycline, there has been an historical tendency to include the same warnings that are included for tetracycline. While doxycycline is part of the same family of antibiotics as tetracycline it shares some very important differences. Among those differences is that it DOES NOT degrade to any toxic components over time. In fact, this is one of the main reasons it was included in the kit. The antibiotics in your kit have been very thoughtfully put together by a panel of experts in their field. Including physicians and pharmacists.
We leave it up to the consulting physician to make a substitution if there are allergies. There is almost always a substitution that can be made. You MUST notate any allergies on your submission form. We cannot make substitutions once the order is placed.
All medications carry risks in their use. Heads Up Medical’s antibiotics were selected for their effectiveness while optimizing patient safety. While some of the antibiotics may have more risk this must also be balanced by their intended use, that of an emergency when no other better options are available.
Antibiotics taken for infection should be specifically prescribed for an individual and an associated infection. Some of the possible infections treated by these antibiotics include:
Yes. They are the same antibiotics you would purchase from your local pharmacy or hospital. As much as we would like to only use medications produced in the United States, the reality is that generic antibiotics are no longer produced in the US.
For chronic disease medications, we will offer a wide range of options depending on your current medication list. WE DO NOT PRESCRIBE NARCOTIC MEDICATIONS OF ANY KIND.

It’s a question of how hot and for how long. Summer temps 80-120 degrees would have to be sustained for quite a while to have an effect. Higher temps could have more effect sooner like if they were baked in an oven or sitting in direct sunlight in really high heat.
